Side Effect Management: Dermatologic Toxicities Associated with Targeted Therapies

The 2012 Nursing Program: Advancing Oncology Nursing™ webinar series will provide the oncology nurse with comprehensive and clinically relevant information regarding the management of patients with cancer. This series will focus on genetic testing for breast and ovarian cancer, cancer pain management, the challenges of oral therapy regimens, dermatologic toxicities, nursing considerations for advanced lung cancer and advanced colorectal cancer, and the nurse's role in cancer survivorship care. Oncology nurses will leave this program with information to provide the best clinical care and patient education to further improve their patients' quality of life.

Target Audience

This webinar series is designed to meet the educational needs of oncology nurses who manage patients with cancer.

Learning Objectives

Following this webinar, participants should be able to:

  • Identify agents that are associated with dermatologic toxicities
  • Describe the presentation of dermatologic toxicities and associated symptoms
  • Provide examples of management strategies for dermatologic toxicities associated with cancer-related therapy
