Breakthroughs in Solid Tumor Oncology

Seattle, WA US
June 19, 2014 to June 20, 2014

The ever-increasing understanding of the molecular basis of cancer affords astonishing opportunities for early diagnosis, prediction of prognosis, therapies personalized to individual cancer gene profiles and therapies targeted to each individual’s cancer. This two-day symposium will provide a cross-disciplinary review of recently identified and currently utilized targeted therapies for solid tumor malignancies. This symposium’s speakers are leading regional and national experts in the field of oncology and will foster discussion of the most recent advances in cancer care. The diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients is a rapidly evolving area of medicine. Clinicians who treat cancer are increasingly part of a multidisciplinary team that need to understand the most recently discovered and validated targeted therapies. Practitioners should also be conversant with the extraordinary potential and complexities that personalized targeted therapy is bringing to the treatment of cancer.
