Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States. Oncologists need to be aware of new treatment options and recommendations so they can implement the best treatment plans and thus improve outcomes for their patients with lung cancer. The 2014 NCCN Congress Series™: Utilizing Guidelines to Customize Patient Care in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer discusses the most recent developments in diagnosis and treatment to ensure that members of a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other relevant healthcare professionals, have the knowledge and skills necessary to apply the standards of care to their practice and healthcare setting for patients with non-small cell lung cancer.
