The NCCN Value Initiative: Using NCCN Evidence Blocks™ in Clinical Decisions
NCCN Evidence Blocks™ are intended as a visual representation of five key measures that provide important information about specific recommendations contained within the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines®). The goal is to provide the health care provider and the patient information to make informed choices when selecting systemic therapies based upon measures related to treatment, supporting data, and cost.
This program is intended for physicians, registered nurses, pharmacists, and other health care professionals who provide care for patients with hematologic malignancies.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Evaluate cancer therapies based on efficacy, safety, quality of evidence, consistency of the evidence, and affordability
- Use the NCCN Evidence Blocks™ to inform shared decision making in selecting cancer therapies
