Monthly Oncology Tumor Boards: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Individualized Patient Care - Breast Cancer

Join Steven J. Isakoff, MD, PhD and Kristen Mahoney Shannon, MS, LCGC from Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center as they present their multidisciplinary expertise on a range of cases pertaining to breast cancer.

Target Audience

This educational program is designed to meet the educational needs of oncologists, pathologists, nurses, pharmacists, case managers, and other health care professionals who manage patients with cancer.

Learning Objectives

Following this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review the decision-making process for evaluating whether an individual should be considered for genetic testing for a BRCA1/2 mutation.
  • Communicate with patients that testing for (ER/PR and HER2) molecular markers is essential for appropriate treatment selection.
  • Of available multigene assays, choose the one with demonstrated clinical utility for management of early-stage invasive breast cancer.
