Archived Monthly Oncology Tumor Boards: Update on New Treatments for Biliary Tract Cancers

While relatively rare, biliary tract cancers have a poor prognosis. Recently, molecular profiling has become increasingly useful as some new targeted therapies received FDA approval. It is important for clinicians to keep abreast of new and upcoming therapies in order to develop an optimal treatment strategy.

Target Audience

This educational program is designed to meet the educational needs of physicians/oncologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other health care professionals who manage patients with cancer.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify current first-line systemic therapy treatment options for biliary tract cancers. 
  • Describe targeted therapy treatment options for subsequent-line treatment of biliary tract cancers.
  • Review the recent or upcoming therapies for advanced biliary tract cancers.
