Updates in the Management of Hepatobiliary Cancers
Incidence and mortality rates for most cancers are declining; however, the incidence and mortality rates for liver cancer are increasing. Hepatobiliary cancers are also associated with a poor prognosis. In recent years, molecular profiling has become increasingly useful for the treatment of patients with advanced biliary tract cancers as some new targeted therapies have received FDA approval. Keeping clinicians up-to-date with the most recent NCCN Guidelines for Hepatobiliary Cancers recommendations and emerging therapies can help improve clinical decision-making and patient outcomes.
Target Audience
This educational program is designed to meet the educational needs of physicians/oncologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other health care professionals who manage patients with cancer.

- Compare and contrast the first-line systemic treatment options for patients with unresectable or metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma.
- Discuss the first-line systemic therapy recommendations for patients with biliary tract cancers.
- Describe the role of molecular profiling in management of patients with advanced hepatobiliary cancers.
