NCCN Tumor Boards: Treatment Selection Strategies and Barriers to Clinical Care in Metastatic Breast Cancer

January 13, 2025

With expanding treatment options, it is important for clinicians to understand key criteria used by experts in selecting optimal first-and subsequent-line therapies for individuals with metastatic breast cancer. Being familiar with newer therapies and integrating evidence-based data into clinical practice are important to optimizing patient outcomes. Clinicians need to understand the diverse and evolving social determinants of health (SDOH) landscape, especially as it relates to clinical trial access for individuals with metastatic breast cancer (mBC), and they need to consider potential strategies to address SDOH to ensure equitable care and improve overall outcomes for patients with mBC.

Target Audience

This educational program is designed to meet the educational needs of physicians/oncologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants/associates, pharmacists, and other health care professionals who manage patients with cancer.
